Meet The Face Behind It All
The 3pm Club was created by Monica de Sousa, a qualified and experienced educator, with a love and passion for working with children.
Miss Monica earned her Bachelor of Education degree with cum laude distinction from Stellenbosch University in Cape Town, South Africa—the city where she was born and raised. She taught Grade 7 (ages 12–13) and served as the Business & Economics subject lead in Cape Town for three years before moving to London.
After obtaining her Level 3 EYFS Childcare Diploma, she worked at two highly sought-after independent nursery schools in Chelsea and Notting Hill and served as the Deputy Head Teacher at Grand West Pre-Prep, in Notting Hill, from 2020-2022. Following this, she taught across Years 2, 3, and 4 at an independent preparatory school in New Malden.
Currently, Miss Monica works as a private tutor for children ranging from EYFS to Year 6, managing and specialising in the 11+ process, homework support, and extra tuition in Mathematics and English.
With over 10 years of classroom experience, Miss Monica is launching The 3PM Club—an after-school homework hub where learning is structured, stress-free, and dare we say…fun?
Thank you for being part of this journey with us!

I am deeply passionate about helping children thrive academically and beyond. I believe in tailored support—every child deserves a learning space where they feel confident and capable.
